Child Development Days is an event that offers music, balloons, food, and fun for children that are preparing to enter 4-year old Kindergarten in the following school year. The purpose of this child-centered event is to provide a positive first school experience for the communities youngest learners, while affording the school district an opportunity to identify children that may need extra help as they prepare to enter their school years.
Child Development Days is an interactive process that allows students to explore the event with their parents support. Each student is assigned a play facilitator that will guide the process while answering any questions the parent may have. This results in a fun and relaxed environment which allows children to demonstrate their skills and have fun.
Child Development Days serves serves as a great source of information for parents by providing access to a number of local educators, learning specialists and community agency representatives. We encourage parents to attend and seek out resources that may support the development of their children.
Child Development Days is held in late April of every school year. Invitations to participate in Child Development Days are sent out to all parents of children that are registered to attend 4-year old Kindergarten the following school year.
