The Monroe Excellence In Education Foundation is governed by a volunteer community Board of Directors. The Board operates independently from the School District of Monroe. Responsibilities of the Monroe Excellence In Education Foundation Board of Directors include determining project priorities, fund-raising for current projects as well as growing an interest-bearing endowment fund, encouraging education innovation by making grants, and recognizing excellence in achievement with awards.
