The GSA is a support group, an alliance between straight students and LGBTQ students, that encourages people to be themselves.
Our Mission Statement is: The goal of the GSA is to unite MHS in the understanding that love is love and that everyone has the freedom and safety to be themselves.
How to become involved:

- Participate in the Day of Silence and other activism
- Treat everyone with respect and kindness
- Support our mission
Activities include:
- Pride Pin Party -- This fall, Join GSA as we celebrate the multitude of gender and sexual identities. We will host a party where you can make your own pin, which can be a pride flag or another symbol/image that celebrates you. Wear your pin with pride!
- Tie Dye Extravaganza -- This winter, support GSA by joining us as we individually create t-shirts that honor the multitude of identities at MHS
- Day of Silence -- This spring, participate in the Day of Silence. This is a student-led national event that brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying, and harassment in schools. Students from middle school to college take a vow of silence in an effort to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior by illustrating the silencing effect of bullying and harassment on LGBT students and those perceived to be LGBT.
Meetings: Bi-weekly during FLEX
Advisors: Ms. Schultz Mrs. Kister
