Race to Read is an academic competition that is available to 4th and 5th grade students.
Students sign up in the fall to be a participant in the Race to Read competition. Students are given ten books to read throughout the school year.
A competition is held in May where students are asked questions about the books they read and work as a team to answer correctly. A winning team is decided after two rounds of questions and a traveling trophy is awarded to the winning school.
