Open House at MMS will be held Thursday, August 28th from 4:00-7:00 PM.  

• 4:00pm-7:00pm:  ALL students and parents 6/7/8 are welcome.

  • Office staff will be available at Open House to assist with registration, schedule changes, collecting payments, form turn in and medication drop off.

  • Schedules and Forward Test scores from last spring will be handed out in the New Gym.

  • Teachers will be available in their rooms.

  • Hall Lockers will be accessible. Feel free to practice your lock and set up your locker if you wish. Do not take your lock home! There will be time to practice on the first day.

• 6:30pm-7:00pm: Volleyball and Cross Country Meeting (upper gym)

• 8th Grade Students - Families with questions regarding the Washington DC field trip in 2026 can stop by and see Mrs. Brunner in room 340.

There will also be an EBG/EBTL General Information Parent Meeting held in the MMS LMC from 5:30pm-6:15pm.   Plan to attend this meeting if you would like more information about the Evidence Based Grading/Evidence Based Teaching and Learning classes and grading changes at MMS, including the usage of OTUS for ongoing reporting instead of Schoology.

A bilingual service coordinator from the organization “Better Brodhead” will be hosting an informational booth at MMS beginning at 4:00pm.  Better Brodhead is a community coalition focused on preventing and reducing youth substance use, bullying, and dating violence.  They achieve this through education, awareness campaigns, and advocacy. Their work specifically addresses alcohol and marijuana use, prescription drug misuse, and bullying among youth aged 12 to 18.

Please make an effort to stop by your student's homeroom teacher. This will be the main contact person for your student this school year.

It is also important to visit your student's case manager or related services provider if your student receives special education services. We will have contact information and room assignments for these individuals on open house night.
